The reading day brought Tan Thoi Primary students closer to discovery books through conversation, group reading, and energetic moments of sharing.
Books that awakened the desire to know more
Atlases, science, English vocabulary, and books built around the question “why” offered an accessible starting point. These subjects connected directly with the natural curiosity of primary-age students.
During the interactive session, each question became an invitation to explore. Small gifts provided encouragement, but the strongest excitement came when students realized that books could help them find answers for themselves.

Break time became a journey
In the middle of the schoolyard, students opened large-format books together, pointing out maps, animals, and unfamiliar details. One book could quickly become the center of an entire group.
Reading took place amid lively conversation, and those conversations showed that students were doing more than looking at pictures. They were interpreting, comparing, and retelling what they had just discovered.

“When one page draws several young minds together, knowledge becomes a shared experience.”

Creating more quality time with books
The purpose of the day was not to set books against technology, but to expand students’ choices. Alongside digital experiences, children can still find lasting enjoyment in reading, observing, and talking face to face.
Famaca values the school’s support in creating a morning where students could connect with knowledge through both concentration and delight.
